From June 7th to October 31st do not miss “ Klimt Experience “ the extraordinary exhibit dedicated to the founding father of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement Gustav Klimt. In the prestigious location of Caserta Royal Palace, one of the biggest and the most extraordinary of the European palaces designed by Luigi Vanvitelli, this interactive and immersive exhibition introduce the public to the virtual reality of Austrian Symbolist painter’s art.
Klimt Experience offers a full immersion in Klimt’s world through music, video installations, sound effects, 3D reconstructions and Dolby surround system that recreate both the early 20th century Vienna and some of the most famous artworks of the great Viennese artist. The images transmitted by a Matrix X-Dimension system with 30 lasers projectors, especially created for this art installation, transmit over 40 million pixels to giant screens ensuring a definition superior than Full HD.
Klimt is indeed an extraordinary artist to be explored: the exhibition project aims to amaze, fascinate, and thrill young and old visitors and let them discover the man and the artist though some of its well-known paintings such as The Kiss, The Tree of Life, or Judith. The exhibit is enriched with a didactic area with multimedia educational touch screens and Oculus Samsung Gear VR for an 360° virtual reality experience inside the universe of Gustav Klimt’s masterpieces. The artist’s style is often characterized by the elegant gold and coloured decorations and the themes of the dominant woman “the femme fatale” and the phallic shape both present in some of its most famous portraits (Judith, Danae and The Kiss). His adulthood works are instead influenced by a rejection of earlier naturalistic styles, and the use of symbolic elements to unveil psychological ideas and emphasize the “freedom” of art.
Designed by Crossmedia Group and organized by Gestshow, “Klimt Experience” is therefore a multi-media and immersive representation of one of the absolute protagonists of the Symbolism Art, a virtual journey in the works of the master of eroticism that should not be missed.
