Van Gogh in Naples – The Immersive Experience
The amazing exhibit “Van Gogh – The Immersive Experience” housed in the suggestive location of the Basilica of San Giovanni Maggiore in Naples has been extended until May 13th 2018. Thanks to a synergy between art and technology and an innovative 3D mapping system all visitors can completely immerse themselves in the masterpieces of the Dutch painter, one of the most famous artists of all time.
The exhibition, created and distributed by Exhibition Hub and Next Exhibition, has entirely transformed the interior of the Basilica of San Giovanni Maggiore in Naples with large screens and video projectors that recreate the incredible paintings of Vincent Van Gogh: visitors can live a unique experience surrounded by 360° with the colors and the fascinating and deeply troubled world of this impressive artist. An unusual use of technologies in the artistic field to present some of the most famous artworks to the public through a different point of view to enhance the magical power of art.
Every surface of the location become a canvas: the walls, the columns, the ceiling, the floors and even the altar of the Basilica have been “painted” with the colors loved by Van Gogh, from the deep blue of the Starry Night to the bright yellow of the Sunflowers. His paintings come alive with their vivid details in an exhibition path that lasts approximately an hour, in which visitor can experience the artworks in different ways by standing or simply lying on the floor, becoming part and parcel of each painting. The exhibition will involve not only the sight, but also the hearing, with a soundtrack that will accompany the public in this extraordinary and emotional journey.
An immersive experience suitable for an audience of all ages that cannot be missed!
