The Chiostro del Bramante in Rome presents the exhibition “ENJOY: Art meets Amusement”
After last year great success of Love. Art meets Love, the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome, proposes again a noteworthy exhibit of unique contemporary artworks. From the 23rd of September 2017 to the 25th of the February 2018 the art exhibition Enjoy: Art meets Amusement will present inedited art works of some of the most important and provocative contemporary artists.
The Chiostro del Bramante keeps following its task by proposing “out of the box” exhibitions, in which the basic idea of all projects is always “originality” in order to expand rules boundaries and offer to the audience an extraordinary experience. For this reason the Cloister has become a cultural point of reference for contemporary artists both in Rome and abroad.
The exhibit Enjoy: Art meets Amusement in particular will focus on the different ways of experiencing art by leading the audience through an invisible path in which every person will be able to appreciate the artworks from different perspectives and sense different perceptions. All the artworks on display are indeed linked by desire of getting lost and the pursuit of amusement, intended as: “driven elsewhere or other from itself”.
As Danilo Eccher, the exhibition’s curator said in an interview, “Pleasure, game, fun, excess dimensions have always been fundamental elements in art. Art drowns in sorrow but feeds on pleasures. Illusion is a transparency that misshapes reality, it’s a semblance in which everything is possible, suggesting either the doubt of a riddle or the smile of a surprise.”
Alexander Calder, Mat Collishaw, Jean Tinguely, Leandro Erlich, Tony Oursler, Ernesto Neto, Piero Fogliati, Michael Lin, Gino De Dominicis, Erwin Wurm, Hans Op de Beeck, Studio 65, Martin Creed, Ryan Gander, teamLab, are some of the international artists and protagonists of the last century art scene, who are going to present their artworks, mostly site specific, designed and built specifically for this amazing exhibition: sculptures, mirror maze, art installations, illusory light games, deformed bodies and indiscreet eyes chasing you will involve the audience in a provocative, unconventional, creative, playful and interactive journey in the hidden universe of the contemporary art.
With the extraordinary exhibit “Enjoy: Art meets Amusement” the Chiostro del Bramante is definitely going to become a place where to discover a whole new reality, that secretly exists in every artwork.
