Our guided walking tour adapts to the interests and walking attitude of the participants. Be aware there is some walking uphill and some steps.

It is possible to require private transportation to the archaeological site from Naples, Sorrento or Salerno.

Practical Info

This special tour is not only made-for-children – to arouse their interest – but mainly made-by-children-on-tour: kids will be the actual guides of the excursion finding their way through our special map. Through games, riddles, clues, mimes, etc..the map of the Ancient City will come to life with its inhabitants.

During the visit, some games will award the kids of little characters to stick to the map – which they can take home.

At the end of tour, each child will be provided with our original Herculaneum4Kids Activity-Book to continue the discovery of Herculaneum and the Roman World on their own.

The aim of the tour is to provide families or small groups with children with a chance to visit the highlights of the Archaeological area without the risk of getting tired or bored.

Prompt and professional in answering questions beforehand and customized their offering to suit our specific needs. Great solution for communicating and booking custom tour making it very clear exactly what was agreed upon and included.
Easy card payment in advance.

We came with a cruise ship and our guide Federica met up outside terminal in time and summoned our driver with a well appointed and modern bus (there where 12 of us)
Arriving in Herculaneum there was no queueing and Federica was well informed and articulate and did a great job at keeping the kids interested.
It was a hot day, and some of the kids were probably a bit too small and not proficient enough in English to really appreciate the visit but the bigger kids and the adults was very happy. The tour was definitely planned out to involve the kids while still giving the adults a good experience.
Was a lot of money but we felt we got good value for them, would definitely use Leisure Italy again if we return to Naples!

On the 8th April 2019 we did the Herculaneum for Kids tour, Pompeii and also lunch at the foot of Mt Vesuvius. The day trip was excellent and our 9-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Giuseppe was our tour guide for the day, we were picked up from our hotel and taken to the destinations. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the ruins. He made the day fun and also educational. We had an exceptional day out and it was the best. Great food and Wine at the Vineyard at the foot of Mt Vesuvius.

Leisure Italy Tours were very helpful in organising a tour that would fit our family – Thanks Vincenzo.

I would highly recommend this tour company again.
